FSBK—English Literature (Sasing) student at AUniversitas Ahmad Dahlan Yogyakarta (UAD), Bagas Al Fajri, was selected for the Indonesian International Student Mobality Awards (IISMA) Selection in the University of Strathclyde Glasgoe, Scotland, UK on June 14, 2021.
Reporting from Kampusmerdeka.kemendikbud.go.id, IISMA is a government scholarship program by funding students to study abroad with partners. The program runs for one semester, and students spend time at the campus that they choose.
Bagas Al Fajri is grateful for his selection in this program. Bagas Al Fajri said this was the program he dreamed of.
“Of course, I am very grateful to have the opportunity to represent UAD in this program, and studying abroad has always been my dream,” he said.
His selection in this program is expected to pave the way for the master’s scholarship that he has planned.
“I hope that my graduation from this program can open more gates of opportunity for me, especially master’s scholarships,” he said.
Being selected in an international program did not make him overbearing. During the interview, Bagas Al Fajri gave advice to other students.
“Keep dreaming and ‘Be ready so you don’t have to get ready’. Always be ready for any opportunity, and pray,” he said.
