Succussed on PIMNAS. PKM Sasing Team: Our Research Results Can Be Used as a Reference for Making Online Learning Policies

FSBK—Three English Literature Student, namely Andini Mandala Putri, Bagas Al Fajri, and Arizka Ummarina successfully passed the 34th Pekan Ilmiah Mahasiswa Nasional (PIMNAS) at the Universitas Sumatra Utara. They were under the guidance of an English Literature Lecturer Muhammad Hafiz Kurniawan S.S., M.A.
PIMNAS is the culmination of PKM’s events. For academics, PKM and PIMNAS are very prestigious activities. In this program, many students from various universities and regions presented their scientific works.
Andini Mandala Putri explained that the process for PIMNAS was very long, it started from February 2021. Began from preparing the proposal to get funding research, everything went smoothly and the team members could give their opinions freely .
“It all started in February 2021. We met each other. At first it was awkward, but over time everything change so that we were able to express our opinions freely to each other. Over time, a neat proposal was developed. Finally, we get funding research, and we do this research in 4 months, assisted by supervisors and supported by our study programs, ” she said.
In this 34th PIMNAS events, English literature PKM Team will present scientific papers in the form of research on online learning life during the Covid-19 pandemic, according to the type of PKM research, namely Social Humanities Research.
“We took research on online learning life during the Covid-19 pandemic. To make it more relevant to our research, we chose lecturers and students as respondents. We lead to how the emotional expression of respondents. More deeply, we look for how they feel about online learning, the Covid-19 pandemic, and other things that we will later detect through their expressions and contexts,” said Andini Mandala Putri.
Andini Mandala Putri explained that the results of her team’s research can be a benchmark for how successful online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. And, later, the research results can also be a reference for policies related to online learning in the future.
